Crochet: Afghan Blanket (Motifs)

Glad to have another off yesterday... It was another holiday. In the morning I did the laundry and then after, we went out to do a little shopping with my husband. I was able to find the crochet hooks I've been looking for. At home, I continued working on the crochet motifs for my Afghan Blanket. I got the pattern from Crochet Today! Magazine July/August 2009 Issue and it's also free from their site. Though, I just made use of a different color scheme because I'm making it for my son, I wanted the colors to be vibrant and playful and that the size of my hook is a bit smaller because that was the only biggest hook I had when I started making the motifs. I might add more motifs to achieve the desired size.

Thanks for viewing and happy crafting! :)

Home and Craft: Miggy's Little Corner

My son is now 3 years old and he really is playful. He loves playing with crayons, papers, pencils and the like. Doing ABC's and numbers are his favorites. I decided to make a little corner where he can spend time doing what he loves. The corner is just adjacent to my craft space. Good thing, we bought a convertible feeding high chair. Now, he uses it as his learning desk and chair.
I made a pen holder out of Spam can, wrapped with patterned paper and decorated with embellishments and doodles. I wrote the words Create, Fun, Enjoy and Explore. Then I attached tags with the words Play and Nice. No matter how young he is, I like to inspire him to learn. Then I loaded it with pencils, kid's scissors (which can only cut paper and not his little fingers), erasers, fancy tapes and coloring materials.
I placed everything in a basket bin so he can just dig in for extra fun! (basket bin, fancy tapes and erasers from Saizen)
Here he is enjoying his little corner especially the fancy tapes I bought from Saizen. It's nice to encourage young minds to explore and learn. As for me, it is our bonding time :)

Dolls: Crocheted Beauties

Having been able to fix my space gave me the chance to relax and enjoy... I'm glad I was able to get back on doing the things I love to do. For today, I would like to show the crocheted outfits I received from fellow doll lovers.
(Left: Blanche "Kiss Me True Blythe" is wearing a Blythe cap I purchased from Yo and the dress was given by her. I let Abbey "ABE custom Blythe" wears the crocheted outfit set made by Ails, which was given away from her previous blog candy, because Abbey is really special)

Blog: Something Went Crazy

Really wierd, but somehow my old blog entries are re-posted... Right now, I'm cleaning it up... My dear friends, if you happen to see a blog of mine previously dated like last year please don't mind it... I'll be deleting them. Sorry for the inconvenience, especially for those who left a comment on the re-posted entry. I think this happened when I made the cross-updates between blogs. Thanks a lot!

Dolls: New Lovelies

Meet Bratz Flower Girlz Nora and Liv Doll Daniela!

Liv Doll Daniela
I couldn't help but to get one of this. What I like about this doll are the eyes and the hair/wig which is changeable. It's like having different dolls in one. This doll have 25 poses but I haven't explored it yet. I promised myself to have only one so I picked the girl that looks like a Filipina.
Bratz Flower Girlz Nora
I was able to buy her from a toy shop in Greenhills. I'm lucky to find her because leading toy shops doesn't sell Bratz now-a-days because the line was halted due to a lawsuit filed againts these lovelies.
Thanks for viewing... For the meantime, back to home cleaning :)

Home: Craft Space Update

My Little Corner
My craft space is limited to just a small corner of our Master's Bedroom. Once in a while I do some cleaning and organizing especially when it's cluttered. A few weeks ago, I started updating my craft space by adding adjustable wall shelves, 5-tier cabinet which was an old-piece from my elder sister and storage boxes and baskets from my favorite once priced shop. The 5-tier cabinet helped a lot because I was able to clear my table from so much clutter. The stuffs in the green basket are the mails and bills that I've sorted and now they are ready for filing, which is first on my work list before I start crafting.
The new adjustable wall shelf - economical and easy to install. Cute storage boxes and baskets I purchased from Saizen.
My Memory Board
It's nice to hang and display a few of my favorite craft projects for inspiration.

My next target is our Dining and Laundry Area.
